HONGU — Guangzhou (Huadu District), since 2002. Founded by Deng Shenwei, HONGU (红谷) was among the first Chinese leather brands to compete on cultural identity rather than Western luxury imitation. The brand story anchors itself in the 600-year leather-craft heritage of Shuhe Ancient Town in Lijiang, Yunnan — Naxi ethnic motifs fused with contemporary design.
